Hualien is internationally renowned for its unique geographical landscape and quality living environment. In recent years, the Environmental Protection Bureau of Hualien County has continued to work hard to improve air quality through pollution control, counseling improvement, and flexible persuasion. Besides, the Environmental Protection Bureau actively subsidizes people to create one hundred gorgeous spots as well as strengthens the control power against the industrial pollution in response to the county mayor Zhenwei' Xu's main axis of the "Happy Hualien & Garden City ", which gives tourists or residents the basic right to have big breathing.

The relevant support sub-laws have also revised after amendments to the Air Pollution Law. On October 14th, 2019 (Monday), the County Environmental Protection Bureau held a second regulation briefing session in the classroom on the third floor of the Zhishan Building at Zhu-Qiang Elementary School to let the operators to immediately grasp the key points of the revision and the direction of the regulation. The industries of cement, electricity, sand and gravel collection, papermaking, ready-mixed concrete manufacturing, non-metallic products manufacturing, and tourism are invited to participate. The focus of the briefing is a total of 10 new amendments, including “Amendments to the code of conduct for continuous punishment for violations of the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Act” and “Establishment of pollution prevention and control units or specialized personnel, and the public and private places for health risk assessment personnel", to enable participants to understand the focus of the revised regulations.

In addition, since the Environmental Protection Administration of Executive Yuan has other relevant bills in the planning stage, Hualien County Environmental Protection Bureau will ensure that the industry understands the spirit of the drafts and ensures that applicants submit application materials and venues will comply with new laws and regulations to avoid causing the operator to violate the relevant laws and regulations, so the preview will be announced through this regulation briefing session.
